Austin, situtated in the central region of Texas, is the capital of Texas, and also one of the most unique cities to be found in our great state. Located on the fringe of the Texas Hill country, Austin offers a diversified range of terrain. From, the flat, rolling, prairies with the rich black dirt to the south and east, to the majestic, rocky, hills and lakes of the hill country to the north and west. 
Austin also abounds in entertainment offerings that are sure to meet almost everyone's expectations. From one of the largest live music scenes in the country, a wide variety of sports venues (including theUniversity of Texas (home of the #1 Longhorns football team), boating and sailing on the nearby Highland Lakes chain and dining at one of the many great restaurants in our great city!
In addition, the Austin area has become a leader in the technology industry and is home to many of the major industries, such as: Applied Materials, Samsung, Dell, Motorola, IBM, Apple, Freescale, and many more.
Other areas of interest in the state are the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center is in the Houston area. Other places of interest in the state include Big Bend National Park,Guadalupe Mountains National Park , Amistad and Lake Meredith national recreation areas, Padre Island National Seashore, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and Arkansas National Wildlife Refuge, winter home of the whooping crane.
